The hard work is over, the February PADI IDC on Gili Air has been completed and tomorrow it’s show time when the PADI IE starts.
Confined water presentation
We’ve been working hard and got everything done what needs to be done and a bit more, except for Manon, who had a cold with sinus and ear problems, she didn’t complete her open water presentation yet, so we give that one last shot in a few hours and we all hope she can equalize and get down so she can complete her skills.
Confined water lift bag workshop
We had lots of fun and we even received an unexpected visit by Paul ‘Tosh’ Tanner, PADI’s Indonesian regional manager towards the end of the IDC.
Open water compass briefing, closely watched by Allen and Riet
Allen and Riet staffed and got valuable experience in evaluating along the way and were a great help for me. Thanks guys!
Open water presentation
We also had plenty of workshops during the IDC, here are some pix from the lift bag and know tying workshops.
Open water, knot tying workshop
The candidates are ready and full power and energy to tackle the next two days, they will be nerve wrecking, full of exams and evaluation, but that’s a PADI IE for you but I’m confident that they will do just fine!
