IDC THAILAND TESTIMONIALS
I attended one of Camille Lemmens´ Instructor Development Courses in October 2003 and from the start you could tell he knew his stuff with very good demonstrations of how to teach and he was never stumped when asked a question.
I had known Camille through my job as boatmaster with Samui International Diving School and had seen how he had a very good raport with the previous few IDC groups before I decided to attempt the course myself. Our course was no different and although Camille knew a few of us candidates he showed no favouritism and treated everyone with the same courtesy, respect and humour (although I did try to wind him up he always came back with a witty reply then back to business).
We all passed the IE and celebrated with a great party at which Camille was bumping and grinding on the dance floor with the best of them.
Since the Instructor Development Course I worked freelance and with a dive school in Koh Samui, have married the gorgeous Debbie, one of my fellow candidates, together we ran a dive resort on one of the atolls off Belize and today (Dec 2006) we paid the deposit on our own dive business in Puerto Morelos, just south of Cancun, Mexico.
Thanks Camille we couldn´t have done it without you mate.

Hello, my name is Sabrina,
I decided to do my IDCS-Staff course with Camille in 2003.
After two years of teaching experience, I thought it was time to go the next step.
I chose Camille to be my Course Director, I knew him personally and knew the way he teaches his courses, and this was very important to me as his inspiration led me to sign up in the first place.
As an IDCS candidate you see the Instructor Development Course in a different way, you learn to improve your skills and knowledge to the maximum.
Thinking about it, I shouldn’t have waited two years, but do it much sooner!
To see how Camille took care of his candidates on arrival, by helping them find accommodation and prepared them before the course started was impressing
( the prep course wasn’t even an “option” in my IDC)
Camille has an excellent way of teaching the Instructor Development Course and of getting you to understand thing by example, should you still have a problem with something he will take you to the side and work it out.
In fact I think he is a walking book of knowledge as he always seems to have the answer to all questions. (-:
But don’t think that because of his professionalism he can not make the lessons fun!
He will crack one of his jokes when you least expect it!
He has influenced my ways of teaching to the positive, I learned to improve my techniques….especially in the Dive Master course.
The experience I gained in this course opened my eyes even to the things I forgotten and standards that had changed since I did my IDC.
Over all to have completed this program helped me in many ways especially in the diving business , now I earn more money never have a problem finding a job plus I get to teach all the Dive Master courses!!
The diving centers will give you more responsibility and will more likely offer an important position like Manager to you!
So all in all if you are planning to do your Idc do it with Camille, he is the best there is.
And if you are already an instructor sign up for your IDCS–Staff course, you will know what I am talking about once you have done it!!!

I would like to thank Camille Lemmens for his inspiration in encouraging me to complete my IE after a recent motorbike accident. Without the inspiration and encouragement from Camille and his staff I might never have gotten through the IE.
I will never forget this experience and will carry this kind of PADI spirit with me when I teach the world to dive!

Camille Lemmens was extremely good as a Course Director, very professional, attention to a lot of detail, lots of tips from his own extensive experience, patient with slow students, impressive background knowledge & deep technical explanations when asked for.
Role model dive professional for me.

Diving is a passion as well as a business. As we become instructors, we hope that we can share our passion with others and bring them into the PADI fold and all the adventure and wonder breathing under water holds for us. One item that we may over look as we become professionals is that the diving industry is a business and while we hopefully never lose our passion for diving we have to learn the BUSINESS of diving. Instructors are usually excellent divers (not always) and the PADI program has been designed using modern educational techniques to teach us how to teach and present material to our students. The job of any PADI Course Director is to present this program and prepare you for the IDC. Camille will prepare you by keeping you focused on the critical bits of knowledge required to pass the IDC and become a PADI instructor. What distinguishes him from other Course Directors is that he delivers an understanding of the diving industry and the business of diving. He gives you the opportunity to not only learn how to teach others but how to survive and thrive in a very competitive industry. He also happens to be a nice guy who fosters an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship. I still keep in close touch with each member of my IDC class. Please feel free to drop me a line at serenitydiving@yahoo.com if I can be of any help in choosing the right IDC for you.
