IDC THAILAND TESTIMONIALS
Taking your IDC can be a stressful time, especially for someone like myself, over 40 and long time since I last sat in a class room and took an exam. Camille’s professional and thorough approach together with his friendly and easy going manner made me feel at ease from day one. Camille has been in the dive industry a long time and it was obvious from the start of the course that he knew what it would take to get me through first time. And I did pass first time so all thanks to Camille and I would recommend his IDC to anyone.

Professionalism, and a willingness to succeed – those are the qualities you want to find in both an instructor candidate and a Course Director. I’m happy to report that Camille has both of these qualities and many more. From the first email, almost a year before the course started, his responses were quick, personal and detailed. He was able to answer any questions I had regarding the course and about living in Thailand. When I arrived in Koh Samui, he helped me arrange accommodation and was eager to make sure my stay was an enjoyable one. During the course he was an excellent Course Director. His presentations were very professional and entertaining. When evaluating his students, Camille is harsh but fair – if you don’t perform as you should then he’ll make sure you realise it. But his attitude seems to bring out the best in his students, and when you perfect a skill or a presentation, you will get praise. It’s all about being prepared and wanting to pass the IE. If you learn the theory and have a desire to become an instructor, then Camille will do everything possible to make you ready for the instructor examination.
An excellent instructor, and one I would definitely hope to do business with again in the future.

Hi all,
I took my Instructor Development Course in August 06 with Camille.
He is a very patient and encouraging coach. Camille
will not only see that you get through your Instructor Development Course with
ease, but he is also concerned about your general
affairs and if you need a listening ear or someone to
have a chat with, he can be a friend and be there for you too.
There had been a number of fun parties during the course
as well. Courses with Camille are not all about exams and
presentations. He also understands that it is stressful
and that the downtime is important. Best of all, he
joins the group and sometimes, it can be funny...
In a nut shell, good coach and mentor.

I did my IDC with Camille after working as a Divemaster for almost a year. I found Camille to be professional, friendly and full of enthusiasm for not only thoroughly preparing me for the Instructor Examination but also for producing good Instructors.
Of course you have to be open to learning and willing to put in some work yourself, but Camille did an excellent job of imparting both the knowledge and skills that would become my tools as a Professional Diving Instructor.
Because I was working, I had no time to prepare prior to the Instructor Development Course, so for me the IDC was quite intense. However, after the thorough training I received from Camille, I found passing the IE to be a breeze! - The way it should be if you have a Course Director who knows what he's doing!
I began diving only in Feb 2004, Open Water through to Divemaster by the end of April 2004. My head instructor was Michael Kerr. Michael did an excellent
job in turning me into a good diver and then, with solid training and experience, into a dive professional. Michael was also trained by Camille (See Michael's testimonial this page).
I now work as a freelance dive instructor and have built up a good reputation on the west coast of Thailand, as I had done previously on the east coast. I owe a lot to Camille and Michael. I hope that by successfully earning a living, doing a job that I love, and by producing good, safe divers that I am repaying them.
