PADI COURSE DIRECTOR CAMILLE
Since 1999 Camille has lived in Thailand working in the dive industry on Koh Samui and many other locations around Thailand and the South East Asian region like Indonesia, the Philippines and South Korea, as a result he has build an extensive knowledge of the local Samui, Thai and South East Asian dive industry which came in handy when he started conducting IDC’s around Thailand in 2003 and expanded internationally in 2011.
He now schedules monthly IDC programs each year on Phuket and is expanding his wings and territory by teaching IDC programs in the Philippines and South Korea. He has also taught in Indonesia.
Camille taught an IDC on Malapascua in the Philippines which coincided with the first ever PADI IE on Malapascua being conducted.
Camille has taught the first ever Western PADI IDC in South Korea in July 2011 and a second ever Western PADI IDC in South Korea in July-August 2014
In 2019 Camille will conduct 2 PADI IDC's in Moalboal in the Philippines, dates to be announced
In 2019 Camille will be back on Malapascua in the Philippines with IDC programs. First IDC will start 5th February, more to follow in 2019
CAMILLE HAS RECEIVED THE 'PADI INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT AWARD' FOR 2009
Camille has received the PADI Instructor Development Award, to better recognize the achievements of those PADI Dive Centres and Resorts who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of diving.

PLATINUM COURSE DIRECTOR RATING in 2018 FOR CAMILLE
In the beginning of 2018 Camille has been awarded the prestigious Platinum Course Director rating by PADI, for an unprecedented twelfth consecutive year running, since PADI Asia Pacific introduced this rating. This is the highest rating a PADI Course Director worldwide can achieve. A rating received by less than 80 of all PADI Course Directors worldwide and even less that work for prestigious PADI CDC Centers. Camille is now one of the few PADI Course Directors in the Asia Pacific region who received this rating during eleven consecutive years.
In 2000 Camille started working with Thailand's first PADI 5 Star Career Development Center and was one of their Course Directors since 2003 until early 2010. From early 2010 he worked around Thailand with 5 different PADI 5* IDC Centers on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Lanta, Phuket and in Khao Lak and in 2016 he started to teach PADI IDC's with 'Dive Asia'. the first PADI CDC Center on Phuket.
He's also extending IDC opportunities as of early 2011 into the Philippines, Indonesia and South Korea. Camille is scheduling 2 IDC programs in conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center 'Neptune Diving Adventures' in Moalboal in the Philippines in 2018 and he just started a cooperation with 5* IDDR Center 'Thresher Cove' on Malapascua, see his schedule for more information on exact dates. Camille is originally from the Netherlands and speaks fluent English and German besides his native Dutch.
In (April) 2003 he became a PADI Course Director at the CDTC in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia where he was trained by staff from the various PADI offices, like PADI America's, PADI Asia Pacific, PADI International and PADI Europe.
He has conducted over 160 IDC programs as a Course Director since 2003 and he has taught more than 690 IDC candidates with a very high passing rate.
He can teach more than 20 Instructor Specialties, including Nitrox Specialty Instructor. He is also a Self Reliant Diver Instructor Trainer, Adaptive Teaching Instructor Trainer, DSAT Gas Blender Instructor Trainer, EFR Instructor Trainer and PADI Emergency Oxygen provider Instructor Trainer.
More than 2000 Specialty Instructor Training courses have been taught by him and over 900 Instructor level courses on various other levels such as IDCS, EFRI, EFR Care for Children and DAN O2.
He also works at the local hyperbaric chamber on Koh Samui in Thailand as a tender and operator.
Participating in an IDC or internship with Camille will give you a cutting edge on the competitive job market.
There are also other PADI Course Directors who gained experience as IDCS Instructors by working with Camille during his IDC's before they became PADI Course Directors themselves, including Craig Allery in Hong Kong, Ernst van der Poll first in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and now in Costa Rica, Jean-François Joly in Canada, Chris Azab in Sharm el-Sheik in Egypt, Imad Khashfeh in Lebanon and in the United Arab Emirates, Christophe Condé in the Seychelles, Sue Gibbins in the Philippines, Richard Reardon, Sander Buis and Joeri van Hal in Indonesia, Kevin Black, Il-Do Kim and Paul Meredith in Thailand and Allen Rivera in South Korea.
Imad and Joeri completed their IDC and IDCS course with Camille and Richard, Il-Do and Paul completed their IDCS course with Camille.
For the up and coming CDTC in Kota Kinabulu, Ann Gammage from Khao Lak in Thailand has been invited. She staffed many IDC programs with Camille.
