Participating in a PADI IDC Phuket program will allow you access to some of the best dive locations in Thailand; The Similan islands but also to the local dive sites and even beach dives are an option.
Before or after your PADI IDC Phuket you can sign up for a live aboard trip or day trips to the Similans or sign up for a Northern loop live aboard which includes Surin islands and Richelieu rock!
Phuket has also a couple of excellent local dive sites to offer, like the Bidah islands, Phuket Shark Point and the 'King Cruiser Wreck' but also Kata Beach can keep you captivated with lots of macro stuff to discover.
Phuket island is Thailand's biggest island and has all the conveniences to offer that come with this. Plenty of small villages and towns litter the coast and there are plenty of different areas and life styles available. From the night live in Patong to the more residential areas of Rawai.
Plenty of resorts are dotted along the long stretches of pristine beaches around Phuket in all price classes and near the dive center in Kata we can advise on accommodation within your budget. Plenty of restaurants and a few relaxed bars can be chosen from to wind down after a day on the beach, exploring the island or after a day in the classroom.
Snorkel trips and plenty of other day trips locations are available as well, like a trip to James Bond island. Have a look at my blog for some impressions of Phuket.
We run our PADI IDC Phuket program in an air conditioned classroom at Dive Asia's training facility at Kata Big Rock that include computer based training aids and internet services are available. The pool and the classroom are about 50 meters away from each other.
Our PADI IDC Phuket consists of two parts the Assistant Instructor Course (AI), the Open Water Scuba Instructor program (OWSI) and the Emergency First Responder Instructor course (EFRI). We conduct the IDC over 10 days including the EFR Instructor course, in a relaxed resort setting, with the days starting around 8.30am and ending around 5.00 pm. During the program our staff will be on hand to offer you all the support that you need allowing you to relax, making the learning experience easier and certainly more fun.
Successfully completing the PADI IDC Phuket program qualifies you to attend the PADI Instructor Examination (IE). The PADI IE is an evaluative program that tests your teaching ability, dive knowledge, skill level, and understanding of the PADI system.
The PADI IDC Phuket includes; 10 days with lunches, tanks, weights and boat fees during the IDC and tanks and weights during the PADI IE.
