From left to right’ Chris, Camille, Jia, Andy and Chloe.

All three candidates did well. First of all Jia from China, who lives on Koh Samui. Already 5 years. Most importantly, she has a dive center on the island and she let use her classroom. Sea Dragon doesn’t have a classroom here. Due to Covid19, everything is a tad little bit different. Secondly, Chloe and Chris from Paris in France. They worked as dive masters and guides on the Sea Dragon live aboard boats for the season. Furthermore, we have Andy from Germany, who lives in Phuket. He completed his PADI IDC Staff course. Fiona from the UK, who lives in Khao Lak. She’s already a PADI IDC Staff instructor. Fiona only participated in the online part of this IDC.

Due to Covid19, PADI allows currently, to have the presentations by the Course Director be completed remotely. Or in other words, online.

At last, for the live part we all came together on Koh Samui. Only the exams, some workshops and confined- and open water are still on the menu here.

We managed all of that. Right now, we have a visit to the local hyperbaric chamber scheduled for tomorrow. Come July 2nd and 3rd, the PADI IE is on!
