It’s all done, the PADI Specialty Instructor Training on Malapascua, February 2019. Just like the PADI IDC, I teach this in conjunction with PADI 5* IDDR Resort ‘Thresher Cove Resort’ on Malapascua.

Monad shoal, famous for it’s fairly rare thresher shark sightings delivered the goods.

Martin, Ruud, Aaron, Justin and also Steven participated in 5 PADI Instructor level specialties each. Furthermore we also had other people join during some of the other specialties.

At Monad shoal, descending whilst using a redundant tank during the PADI self-reliant diver course

We had some great dives, spread out over four days. First of all, we visited Monad shoal 3 times and dived it 4 times.

On the way to Monad shoal for the thresher shark diver. An early wake up call, the boat leaves at 4.45am. This what you get though.

Furthermore we had some excellent local dives at Ubang-Bto, Quillano, Ka-Osting and Bugtong-Bato among others. As a result we saw lots of great sites, fish and above all, plenty of macro life!

One of the many nudibranchs I saw during the many dives. This is a Nembrotha kubaryana at Monad shoal.

Tomorrow the PADI IE starts. Certainly two nerve wrecking days for all involved. As a result however, almost certainly we should have 7 new PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors on the island.

Deep diving at Monad shoal. The water pressure at 30 meters depth affects all objects. Here’s a water bottle fully compressed.

The PADI adaptive teaching techniques course. As part of this course you  walk around blindfolded. This allows you to understand better how a blind person experiences walking around in the resort.

The adaptive teaching open water dive. Now with a blacked out mask.

During all of my PADI IDC programs the EFR-, Enriched Air- and Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor courses are included. Furthermore, lunches on course days are included (except on Malapascua, where we serve breakfast instead of lunch). Certainly a reason to ask for more in-depth information on my IDC programs.

My PADI IDC schedule for 2019

For starters, on 4th March and 7th May I will be back in Phuket, Thailand again for a PADI IDC. As always in conjunction with PADI CDC Center ‘Dive Asia’. Khao Lak, Thailand is on the PADI IDC schedule again with a program scheduled to start 24th March. This is in conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center ‘Sea Dragon’.  Furthermore, I will be back on Koh Lanta to start an IDC program on 15th April. This as always in conjunction with PADI 5* IDC Center ‘Blue Planet’. Most certainly plenty of exciting destinations to choose from.

Finally, check here for my 2019 PADI IDC schedule.

Contact me for more detailed information on any of these PADI IDC programs or locations.

See you there,
Camille
