What kind of accommodation is available?
Most of our staff and people who participate in similar packages/courses like you're interested in, stay in bungalows they rent per month.
An average bungalow has a monthly rent of approximately 8.000,- to 9.000,-Baht. Electricity and sometimes TV are not included in the monthly rental price.
For that you typically get a furnished living room (table, couch and/or stools) and TV, bedroom with a/c (bed, wardrobe, one set of linen), a kitchenette with fridge and a bathroom with cold/hot water.
Once on Samui, you'll need some form of transportation since the island is too big for getting around without either a motorbike or car (small jeep), especially with your dive equipment.
Up to and including the Rescue diver course, transfers are included in the courses but as of Divemaster trainee level, you're supposed to make your own around, this includes all IDC courses and package.
A standard semi automatic motorbike costs 3.500,-Baht per month, an automatic motorbike costs 5.500,-Baht per month and a small jeep costs 15.000,-Baht per month, excluding gasoline costs. Please note that the jeep has manual gears.
All vehicles are insured and available through our recommended supplier.

Accommodation on Samui ranges from simple moderately priced beach bungalows for 500 Baht per night with shower & fan up to medium priced Resorts with Air-con rooms with en suite toilet & bathroom priced 1200 - 2000 Baht per night.
We can help you find a self catering Bungalow for between 8000 - 12000 Baht per month, equipped with cooking facilities and living room. In fact most of our Divemaster / IDC Candidates staying for extended periods select this option, some have even found decent rooms for less than 8000 Baht , although you would need to rent and ride a small moped (90cc) to get around which costs approximately 3500 Baht per month. For your arrival on Samui, we are pleased to provide complimentary transfer to your resort and provide information on the local area.
